In mid-January the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum met in Davos, Switzerland. For those that are not familiar with the WEF, it is a meeting of business leaders, politicians, and the super wealthy discussing ways they need to change the world. After all these are the elites and they know what’s best for mother earth and all of us minions that live here (note heavy sarcasm).
Some of the goals of the WEF by 2030:
You’ll own nothing and you’ll be happy about it.
You won’t die waiting for an organ donor — they will be made by 3D printers.
The U.S. won’t be the world’s leading superpower.
Much of the focus of this year’s forum is how to protect the planet. Of course, this means climate change. John Kerry, the United States Special Envoy for Climate was there speaking to the need to lower carbon emissions. He arrived and departed on his private jet which I’m pretty sure emitted a lot of carbon emissions. He also said the current growth trajectory of the world is unsustainable and called on world leaders to double down on climate commitments and policies. That is apparently for us, not him or the other attendees. 1000 private jets flew in and out.
One person who has the ear of the WEF is Yuval Noah Harari. Harari, who is a Jew, is a history professor at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
“We are really acquiring divine powers of creation and destruction,” Harari said in a 2020 interview. “We are really upgrading humans into gods. We are acquiring, for instance, the power to re-engineer life. He further stated, “We humans should get used to the idea that we are no longer mysterious souls – we are now hackable animals. That’s what we are.”
So there it is. Man still trying to be like God and worshipping the creation rather than the creator. Like it says in Ecclesiastes, nothing new under the sun. For those who follow prophesy, this all lines up. Things are heading to a one world political, economic and religious system and the 7 year tribulation. But to get there you can’t have nationalism or capitalism. It needs Marxism. So tax in the name of climate and redistribute the wealth. Hence the downfall of capitalism. When will this happen? Only God knows but clearly the birth pangs are increasing. But the Christian can take comfort in the words of Jesus in Luke 21:28, “When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
