You don’t see this often…Finnish Christian politician, Paivi Rasanen is under investigation for daring to be a witness for Christ by quoting the book of Romans against the Lutheran church’s decision to support a gay pride event.
Let’s celebrate the moment and pray for this courageous sister in Christ.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It’s so encouraging to see a political leader who identifies as a Christian to stand up for what the Bible teaches. May God strengthen and bless her for her stance.
No. She is a classic conservative. Previously (in her youth) christians have been getting special treatment over other religions, and to certain extent they still are. Now the likes of her are appalled for having to be treated just like any other religion, and having to conform to societal change. The loss of exceptionalism is the point here. Also, that LGBTQ-folks are treated equally and not like they are sick, is wrong in her opinion. So she seems to be breaking the law by advocating differential treatment to certain people based on their sexual orientation and/or religion. This is not the first time. As a public figure and a politician she should really know better.
The equal marriage act of 2017 was a tipping point. The law was passed and now the state does not dictate who gets to marry whom (between adults). This forces the church to define their stand on this. No longer can they hide behind the law. Finding common ground has proved to be most difficult, because there are people both for and against the law within the church. This is tearing the church apart. Räsänen does not like this, as one would assume. She would rather sweep this difference under the rug and not talk about it, because it is dividing the church. In the past, christian church has divided into orthodox and catholic branches, later the catholics and lutherans parted ways, later still many more divisions occurred, all based on differences in interpreting “what the Bible teaches”. Maybe it´s time for yet another cut.
Nothing new under the Sun.
Not sure if the Muslim caved or it’s a deceptive tactic for him to remain in government to influence policy. Think about it.
Ah!! You might be right!
I’ll pray for her all through Einojuhanni Rautavaara’s Piano Concerto Number One all three movements. That Finn made some beautiful music, just like Ms. Rasanen. It’s on Mr. Fatty’s channel
Finland is also one of the places in Europe that only became Christian because of imperialism and force (they failed to convert peacefully)

And only a 100 years of independence and were very unreligous. And one thing that helped us gain our independence was rediscovering our pagan mythology https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qNwu8XM5z2M&t
Finns have had only one god above all others and that’s Ukko Ylijumala https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yL5QcSOPp9s&list=PL5B_T5py8_BN4ihUoVVu39vvo-RtECYli&index=5&t=0s
