Truth doesn’t seem to matter much in America 2020. What’s a Christian to do? Just because the media says it doesn’t make it true.

Well said, sir!
Your perspective clearly follows a different line of thinking—not apolitical, but with a different, higher goal in mind. I really appreciate how you allow scripture to inform your perspective instead of looking for proof-texts to support what has already been presumed.
Yes. Thanks.

THE “TRUTH” of CHRIST WILL ALWAYS SET US FREE, LET US TAKE EVERY THOUGHT CAPTIVE AND MAKE IT OBEDIENT TO CHRIST, HOLY HOLY HOLY IS OUR LORD !!!!
I appreciate your wisdom. Thank you so much for sharing, brother!
The facts are: 1) these main stream media news outlets and personalities do not know God. 2) Their moral compasses point in a different direction from true believers and followers of Jesus Christ. 3) They are listening to and following orders from the network’s owners’ and the sponsors’ motives and goals. 4) Those motives and goals are basically selfish and often downright EVIL when compared to Biblical principles; they are ruled by the world, the flesh, and the devil. “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world” (1 John 2:16).
And we, as Bible believing Christians know that this world is NOT our home. So, it behooves us to daily – and more and more often, moment by moment – question what we hear on these news stations. Their goal is to program us to believe and act upon what they believe. We should not be assuming these worldly people are telling us the whole truth about anything. They live in a completely different reality from ours – that is, IF we are walking with Jesus. (I’m “speaking to the choir” here.) It’s so very easy to get caught up in the influences of the world, the flesh and the devil and get distracted from what God’s plan and purpose is for our lives, isn’t it?
At this moment I’m reminded of the title of a Christian book I came across years ago titled, “Give Up Your Small Ambitions”. I daresay that if any of you are like me, you too probably have “small ambitions” that are taking up your life’s time and energy that should be used more wisely in serving the King of Kings. As a comment and conviction of Matthew 16:24-25, Jim Elliott (a martyred missionary) said, “He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.”
Yes. I like that; give up your small ambitions.
Amen Pastor. I praise God that you speak the truth.
